Whimsey May Release Blog Hop

Can you believe May is here?  It's been a while since I posted and what better way to get back into things than with another Whimsey Release. We have lots of new images to share with you today. Creations from Crissy, Ann & Meljen's collection. We also have some Beautifully Pre colored images. great for making quick cards with, Designed by Melissa Jenkins. Each file is JPG at 300dpi for high print quality. You can resize, flip or rotate to fit your own project.

If you came from the lovely Crissy's Blog then you came from the right place. If not why not start at the beginning of the hop which is the Whimsey's Inspirational Blog.

Today I have used the sweet image "Momma Roo" from Meljen's collection. Which is perfect for a Mother's Day Card which is this month.  I used promarkers for coloring. The papers are from the New collection from Pink Paislee - Butterfly Garden.  This line is absolutely gorgeous.  The metal butterfly pin is also from this line.  The gems are from Stampin' Up and colored with promarkers. The flower at the top right is from Maya Road.  The bouquet I believe is from Magnolia.  The leaf at the top is from Spellbinders - Foliage.

Now be sure to leave comments along the way because there are Two Mystery DT Members who will be choosing a winner from the comments left on their hop posts! These winners will each win a Whimsey digi image of their choice.

The Grand Prize winner of the hop is from the very last stop. The winner will receive 5 new digi images of their choice and will also get a chance to use those new images as a guest designer for Whimsey for the entire month. How cool is that?

The hop will run until 12 noon EST Tuesday, May 8.

Sorry To All My Blogger Friends

I know I have been MIA for a little while.  I am going through some very difficult times and been doing a lot of thinking.  I believe we are given life lessons for a reason and whatever my future holds I know I have found the answers that I have been seeking.  Life is about making mistakes but knowing that they shouldn't be repeated.  I promise you all I will be back soon!

The Stamping Bazaar And Some Changes

Happy Sunday everyone.  I hope everyone is enjoying the Spring weather we are finally having.  Mother Nature had fooled us on the first day of Spring it snowed here.

As you may have noticed we used to hold challenges every Friday.  We are stopping challenges for the moment and going through some changes.  The first is that The Stamping Bazaar is having a DT Call which ends April 4th.  Don't forget to enter if you are interested in joining this fabulous team!!!  I have enjoyed this team immensely and look forward to continuing with the present team and the newbies!

Every Monday on The Stamping Bazaar we will showcase to you what the design team have produced using Stamping Bazaar images.

All the digi images that have been used by the DT have as always been designed by our very own Marina Neira and are available at The Stamping Bazaar Store. Check out the store for special offers that Marina puts together for limited times.

Each day of the week you will be getting inspiration from each one of our talented team. The DT are going to show you on their own blogs how they made their creations, and you will be able to follow the links to the image in the Store and for the next days DT member throughout the week.

Today is my day.  I used the image "Josie In Hat" and she is colored with Promarkers.  The papers are from the new 6x6 pads from My Mind's Eye - Hazel.  I used my slice to cut the eggs using the Spring cartridge.  The basket was cut using my cricut with the Make The Cut software for a custimized basket.  My only regret is that I didn't have the stuffing that is used for easter baskets.  When I come across it I will add it to my card.

DYSU #13 Clear, Lt. Pink & Mauve

This week's sponsors are:

Blackleaf: is giving stamp set "Lantern Stamps"

Stitchy Bear: is giving $10 Gift Voucher (will be good on StitchyStamps, Floppy Latte Designs, and Lexi Creations)

Digis with Attitude: is giving a $10 CAD (Canadian Funds) Gift Certificate for their store

That took a little thinking because my image "Splashin Fun Ollie" from Stitchy Bear has an adorable duck.  I colored the image with promarkers.  For the "clear" I used glossy accents on the goggles and the inner tube.  The papers I used are from Echo Park - Springtime collection.

I love the effect as the inner tube now has an appearance of plastic.  The Lt.Pink is in the PP that looks like a wave and my cardstock, the mauve is also in the PP and the color of the inner tube.

Now head on over to DYSU Blog and see all the other creations made from the team and see if you were the lucky winner from last week.
