Here is a cool technique I just saw and I had to try it out. You will need the following.
Embossing powder clear or white
versamark stamp pad
mini mister with 1/8 teaspoon of perfect pearl and water (I used color blush)distress ink (I used victorian velvet)
stamp of your choice (I used 3 flowers from Hero Arts)
ribbon
adhesive
scissors
distresser
mini dots
8 1/2 x 5 1/2 cardstock
5 1/4 x 4 patterned paper (I inked around the edges with colorbox color chianti)
4 1/4 x 3 5/8 watercolor paperborder punch
First you will need to border punch your 4 1/4 x 3 5/8 watercolor paper on the right side.
Now you will emboss using stamp of your choice.
Now take your distressed ink and ink it up well leaving no white spots except for your embossed image which will stay white. Before it dries quickly apply the perfect pearls mixture and spray all over the watercolor paper. Using your heat tool heat everything until it is dry. This is what it should look like.
Now take your ribbon and place along the left side. Bow is optional.
Take your patterned paper and cut 5 1/4 x 4 and ink the edges.
Now cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 cardstock and fold in half. Be sure to use your bone folder for a nice crease.
Now you are ready to paste everything down. First put your patterned paper then your watercolor paper. Now it's time to add a sentiment. You can use staz-on directly on the watercolor but I found that because of the perfect pearls it's not always a great job. So I stamped on a piece of cardstock. I distressed the edges and used adhesive. This is the completed card.
And because I had so much fun I did another one.
Thank you for stopping by and seeing my first tutorial!
