Cards and Blog Candy

I was so excited to use the new Echo Park papers Summertime and I thought it went perfect with The Whiff Of Joy Stamp "Willow With Umbrella"  If you haven't bought Echo Park yet you should.  It's a perfect collection for summertime.

For this next card I used Fancy Pants Like Father Like Son but I don't know the name of the stamp.  I was at my friends house and just had to use it but there was no name.  My title is Pal and each letter has a word.  Playful, Adventurous & Loving.  Perfect for these furry pups!

And now it's time for some Blog Candy.  I am having a contest and it's super easy.  For those of you already following me post on your blog that I am having a contest. More Cards and Basic Grey

Most of you who know me will know that I absolutely love Basic Grey.  I buy the full collections and matching embellies.  I was not so sold on the Olivia line but absolutely adored the Oliver Line.  However, as a last minute decision when I placed my order with my LSS I decided to get the 6x6 pad of Olivia.  Boy oh boy was I wrong.  I am totally loving them on my cards and wonder if I should get the 12x12.  Here are two cards I completed using the Basic Grey Olivia and using "The Greeting Farm" stamps.  As well as the Stampin' Up Markers.

This last card I used the Kaiser Craft Peachy Keen Collection 6x6 pad.  I also used the sweet flowers from Magnolia and inked them and then stickled them with Diamond.  I also did some fussy cutting and it really was fussy! LOL! TFL!

Card and Art Journaling

Last night I was testing out my Stampin' Up Markers and using them like the copics.  I have to say I really like them.  I don't have a big batch of copics and you really need 2 or 3 tones of each color to give you the effect you are working for.  I used SEI papers for my card and finally used the gorgeous crystals from Prima.  The stamp is from Whiff Of Joy "Willow With Flower Basket".

Here is another page from my art journaling.  I know it seems like there is a lot of powerful emotions but it's things that have been on my mind and it's quite something to see it take shape on paper.  I do find this soothing!

Thank you all for the positive feedback on this new venture! It really means a lot! TFL! :D

Continuing Summer Camp Challenges & New Stuff

Over at Scrapbook Star summer camp is still going on and there are numerious challenges added each week.  We have 3 big prizes so check it out and make sure you start.  July challenges must be finished in July and August challenges finish in August.  It's not too late to sign up.

Here's my challenge: It's Time For A Nature Walk.  Card or LO must have a nature theme to it.  For LO's the photograph can be about nature.  Here's my card and I used the lovely Kaiser Craft "Hey Birdie Collection" 6x6 pad.  Yes I hand cut everything, there are no diecuts in this paper pack.

I have now completed my 2nd page in my art journaling book and it's title Words.  I can't get over how easily I am adapting to this art style.  However, I guess my graphic art comes in handy here! :D

And last but not least a new card using "The Whiff Of Joy Stamps".  I really wish I had done this when I submitted for a stamping DT Call.  Crossing fingers that what I submitted was good enough.  Please wish me luck! :D  TFL!!!

Art Journaling

I have been interested in art journaling for a while now.  I have always prosponed and said tomorrow or next week.  Then I start my term as DT at Scrapbook Star as well as Glenda.  I have been fortunate to see first hand for the past 7 months her techniques and it inspired me to actually start it once and for all.  I am really excited with my first page and I will continue this new and exciting hobby.  TFL! :D

Have You Ever

Had a page or project completed that had you jumping up and down screaming "Yes Yes Yes!" LOL I had my first one.  This is my 2nd mini book but first time using the Bind-It-All.  First of all I am in love with the Bind-It-All.  Like seriously Folks....what's not to like.  To be able to create your own book, calender, projects at your fingertips is so awesome.

Ok LOL enough of that.  I just love how this mini book came out.  On the sides there is ribbon attached to tags I made.  They pull out and it's used for journaling.  See the last photo because I pulled one out a little.  TFL!!!

Belles & Whistles Stamp

I just love this new stamp from Belles & Whistles.  It's titled "Sisters" and it has cuteness written all over it.  I just couldn't wait to use it with my SEI papers.  I always love blue and green together so I was instantly drawn to them.  I colored them using the Watercolor Wonders from Stampin' Up.  I just love how easy they are to work with.  If you want to get your hands on it here is a link to a SU Demonstrator.  She also has the new catalogue and there are some exciting new colors and lots of new goodies.

Here is the card I completed. TFL! :D
