This week's challenge at
Digi Doodle Shop's Best is cards with a manly theme. Would you believe I found this challenge very hard. I realize the majority of my cards are feminine or cutesy. But who could resist this adorable image from the
Digi Doodle Shop - Uncle Jesse. He made me think of Yosemity Sam from Bugs Bunny and I just knew I had to use him for my card.
For my card I colored Uncle Jesse with Derwent Pencils and mineral oil (baby oil works as well). The papers are from the Oliver collection from Basic Grey.
Don't forget to link your card at the
DDSB blog and remember if you use a
DDS image you will be entered twice. And while you are there check out what the rest of the team and our GDT did this week. Also please check out the store because there are two specials going on.
Happy Crafting Everyone!

It's not just you, it's the industry. Being the mom to three boys I have found it very difficult to find decent scrapping stuff that is good for boys. That seems to be changing a little and there seems to be more stuff coming on the market now. Now if I can just get the stores to carry them.
I love that stamp. What fun!
Tina,
What an amazing card! You did a super job making a manly card. Masculine cards are difficult but you proved it can be done

Hi Tina,
Yosemite Sam happens to be my most favorite Looney Tunes character. I've laughed hard enough at him to cry. I love your card, and totally adore the sentiment. Awesome job hun!
